Yay!!! Number 30 in the 30 Day Challenge

Ah! I feel both fulfilled and free all at once!

I'm thrilled to have completed Leslie Saeta's 30 day painting challenge for the second time. This time being a comparatively easier journey than in September last year because of doing sketches rather than acrylic paintings.

I scanned this picture and realise now that the scanner is probably only the best option for black and white sketches - it seems to wash out the colour somewhat compared to a photo.

Now that the challenge is over, I have no more excuses not to get stuck into writing and finishing off my book!

  5. Wendy it was fun to watch your drawings this month. I think I might use your idea in January, if you don't mind!?! :) Are those flowers that you drew today in bloom right now?

    1. Hi Shawna, I'd love to see your sketches in January!!
Yes, these white iceberg roses are currently flowering. I attempted to paint them as pink instead. I wasn't overly happy with the outcome of this one I must admit. I was late pruning my roses so I felt terrible having to cut back some of the new growth to get it into shape - but they are very forgiving. All the Perth gardeners who were more diligent than I and pruned their roses by the first of August are now awash in stunning blooms!

  6. Wendy, really great to go back and look at the whole collection of drawings for this 30 day Challenge. I am glad you did these instead of another set of paintings like last years. It really showed your skills and renewed passion for it.
    Fun!
    Keep drawing...
